Spring and Summer Update

This spring Jenny sang at nearly 35 venues and ministered in music to over several thousand people! It was an amazing spring seeing God’s Spirit move through music at all these sings! Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. As Jenny ministers through music, God brings his freedom to listeners who can dance and rejoice in the presence of the Lord. Jenny’s single, “Hold On,” charted in the top 40 for June, coming in at number 38!

Overcoming Difficulties

Despite fighting illness this spring, Jenny was able to step out in faith and continue to minister through her voice. There were times where she had to take a break and felt discouraged that she couldn’t serve the Lord how she wanted to, but God showed her that when she says yes to him and shows up, he will do amazing things. Even though her voice wasn’t 100% well from her illness, Jenny was able to minister to a church group and watch the Spirit of the Lord wash over the crowd, even leading the pastor to run out and praise God in the street!

Personal Testimonies

One listener shared with Jenny how her gospel music brings her such peace. This woman had lost her son and her husband, but when she puts on Jenny’s CD, she can feel God’s presence and peace, despite her grief.

Another listener shared that she had dedicated her life to Jesus but still felt so unworthy. When she heard Jenny sing “My Jesus,” she was able to understand Jesus’ reassurance that she is going to be ok. Jenny was able to give her a handmade cross and remind her that God sees each of us as a new creation when we give our lives over to him. The cross reminds us of where we stand how anytime we feel discouraged or feel the pull of the world. Jesus paid it all for each of us to be made new! These handmade crosses are touching lives at each event.

A Kentucky gentleman asked for a handmade cross to give to his newly saved daughter as a reminder that God takes us in our dead and broken condition and recreates us into the beauty he intends for us to reflect – his beauty!

Unique Events

Jenny also enjoyed being part of a multicultural worship service where the unity of the Lord was present. There were many different music varieties at this event, and we believe the Lord was honored to see so many different cultures coming together in unity rather than strife! Other listeners comment on how Jenny’s music brings such joy, brings the Spirit, and reminds us that God sees us right where we are at.

Another big happening at this spring’s events was that Jenny’s son Brennen was able to bring his first ever sermon to a group. Brennen is a young man with a heart that is passionate for the truth of Jesus Christ. Brennen is just 14 years old, but he boldly declares how Jesus died for us when he didn’t have to. He chose to give his life for us because of his great love for us.

Jenny was also invited to be part of a riverboat cruise that went up and down the Chattanooga river, serving up lunch and plenty of gospel music for the guests!

Summer is the season of revival gatherings, and Jenny brought music for one three-night tent service right off the highway. A trucker parked his truck to come in and attend the service and ask for prayer. Because he saw this event going on and chose to stop, his life was blessed through the service.

At a summer camp gathering, Jenny was able to minister in music during revival service. About these services, Jenny says, “The Spirit came to life in all our hearts and gave many of us confirmation on where he wants us to proceed with our ministries.” She says of the camp revivals, “God walked and talked to each and every one who was there.” What a powerful testimony to how God is using Jenny Stoughton Ministries to touch hearts and lives across the Midwest!
